School board interviews 3 for vacant treasurer job

FAYETTE - Gorham Fayette Local school board interviewed three candidates for its district treasurer position last week and is expected to make an official hiring decision at its Dec. 18 board meeting.

The district's last treasurer, Homer Hendricks, resigned effective last week to become treasurer of Montpelier Exempted Village District in Williams County. The district, which paid Mr. Hendricks $41,700 a year, is now using an interim treasurer from Northwest Ohio Computer Association.

Interviewed were:

•Angel Adamski, fiscal service coordinator with Northwest Ohio Computer Association since 2004. She was previously a finance clerk with Lucas County Educational Service Center and lives in Toledo.

•Douglas Passet, senior accountant with First Ohio Credit Union in Fostoria since 2005. He was previously an accountant with Marathon Oil Co. in Findlay and he lives in western Wyandot County.

•Carla Rice, deputy auditor in the Fulton County auditor's office since 2001. She previously was treasurer of the Napoleon Area City School District and lives in Wauseon.

The board also received resumes from two others:

•Connie Enders, an accounting technician with Temporary Accounting Services since 2004. She has school finance experience.

•Jennie Montoya, of Rio Rancho, N.M., who wrote she did the review, audit, and processing of construction invoices for NM Intel Corp.
