Student of the Week: David Grieser

David Grieser, a senior from Holland, will enter the accounting program at the University of Miami in Florida in the fall but is unsure of a major at this time. He enjoys American history and computer science and has a 4.0 grade-point average.

The recipient of the Leadership Prize for his accomplishments as junior class president, David also received the Excellence in History Award. He played varsity golf in the fall.

He is editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, a member of the Quiz Bowl, and a volunteer at the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library summer reading program.

"He's the one students think of if they need help in math or want to form a study group," said David Hanson, math teacher. "He is a leader [in] academic achievement and also for his sportsmanship and involvement in activities on and off campus."

David is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Grieser.
