Berkey's barbecue to begin tomorrow
7/16/2008The village of Berkey's annual chicken barbecue will be held tomorrow through Sunday in Lathrop Park on Sylvania-Metamora Road.
The event will kick off with a home run derby at 7 p.m. Friday.
Saturday's activities begin with a softball tournament at 8 a.m., followed by a tractor pull for children at 10 a.m. Chicken dinners will be served at 12 p.m. Music, beer, kiddie train rides, and a craft and flea market will be held until 1 p.m.
Sunday's activities will begin with a softball tournament at 10 a.m. Chicken dinners will be served at 12 p.m. Music, train rides, and the craft and flea market will continue until 6 p.m.
