Delta

A Garage Sale to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Team of Delta takes place from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. July 10 at GB Manufacturing Co., 1120 East Main St. Donations will also be accepted. This is rescheduled from June 19 because of rain.

Sylvania

A benefit performance for the Children s Rights Council takes place from 7-9 p.m. July 7 at Olivet Lutheran Church, 5840 Monroe St. Master of Ceremonies will be WTOL- TV, Channel 11, news anchor Jerry Anderson, with entertainment by Eddie Boggs, Dick Wolf, Neil Light, Collaboration, and Streetwise. Snacks and beverages will be available for a nominal fee. Admission is $5 plus a canned food item (optional) for the needy. Tickets, 419-473-8955. Make checks payable to The Children s Rights Council. Tickets may be picked up at the door.

About $60 worth of fresh and frozen food can be purchased by anyone in need for $30 through Angel Food Ministries at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 6517 Brint Rd. Orders for July will be taken at the church on the following dates: July 4 from 1-3 p.m.; July 8 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.; July 11 from 1-4 p.m. For more information call 419-882-6488.

Swanton

Swanton Area Community Coalition, working with the community youth to promote the benefits of a drug/alcohol free lifestyle while promoting leadership and coping skills, will hold a meeting on this subject at 5:30 p.m. July 7 at the Swanton Village Council Chambers, 219 Chestnut St.

Toledo

Toledo historical and architectural cruises on the Maumee River aboard the Sandpiper boat are presented by the Maumee Valley Heritage Corridor. The two-hour cruises take place from 1-3 p.m. Sept. 6 and from 8-10 p.m. Aug. 10. Local historian Fred Folger tells stories and points out sights.
