Toledo area residents continued to show their generosity with the donation of cash and supplies to help in the relief effort in New York.

Nearly six Blade trucks were filled with gloves, batteries, flashlights, hardhats, boots, and other items that people gave yesterday. More than $40,000 also was contributed as part of The Blade-13 Action News Disaster Relief Fund to help with rescue and recovery efforts.

Grand Aire, a cargo and passenger air charter management firm based at Toledo Express Airport, has donated transport for some of the most critical items. They are expected to be flown to New York today.

Donations may be sent to The Blade-13 Action News Disaster Relief Fund, care of National City Bank, retail administration, 6th floor, P.O. Box 1688, Toledo, Ohio, 43604. Donations may be dropped off at any National City Bank branch.
