Army 1st Lt. Scott Baber, a Maumee native, has been awarded the Bronze Star medal for service with the Army's 1st Armored Division during its deployment to Iraq.

A 1998 graduate of Maumee High School and 2002 graduate of Bowling Green State University, Lieutenant Baber deployed from his home station of Wiesbaden, Germany.
