A probation officer in Maumee Municipal Court was named Thursday morning as the new director of the Lucas County Board of Elections. Linda Howe, 66, has been a probation officer in Maumee since 1995 and is a former director of elections for Henry County. Until recently, she has been a member of that county’s board of elections and chairman of the Democratic Party in Henry County. Ms. Howe currently lives in Napoleon but plans to move soon to Lucas County. She will start her new position on Monday.
