Tiffin police look for armed robbery suspect

TIFFIN - Authorities on Tuesday were looking for a man in a plaid shirt accused of robbing a cash advance business on West Market Street at gunpoint, Tiffin police said.

The man walked into Check Into Cash, 748 West Market, about 3:40 p.m. on Monday, brandished a firearm, and demanded cash from a clerk.

After the clerk complied, the man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The man was described as being black, in his 20s or 30s, of an average build, and clean shaven. He was last seen getting into a black Jeep Liberty with Ohio Smoky license plates.

The man was still at large as of 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Tiffin Police Department at 419-447-2323.
