West Toledo school reports 2 probable cases of swine flu
BLADE STAFF
Two students in the same grade at West Side Montessori Center have probable cases of swine flu, although both have recovered, a school official said Wednesday.
Both local cases of probable H1N1 cases are girls, one a 10-year-old from Lucas County and the other an 11-year-old from Fulton County, according to the Ohio Department of Health.
Dawn Weating, director of operations at the school, 2105 N. McCord Rd., said the students apparently had symptoms over the weekend and school officials were notified Monday. The school’s last day for this year is Wednesday, and the two students were not in class this week, she said.
