Fight at Libbey leads to lock down, arrest
BLADE STAFF
A fight Tuesday afternoon at Libbey High School led school officials to place the building on the lowest level of lock down.
Toledo police were called to the building, and at least one person was arrested for violating the city’s safe schools ordinance, authorities said.
The fight was reported about 2 p.m., said Patty Mazur, Toledo Public Schools spokesman.
The building was placed on level-one lock down, which prevented anyone from entering.
Classes continued during the lock down, Ms. Mazur said. The school day at Libbey ends at 3:20 p.m.
The cause of the fight and the number of people involved were unknown.
