Fight leads to lockdown, arrest at Libbey High

A fight Tuesday afternoon at Libbey High School led school officials to place the building on the lowest level of lockdown.

Toledo police were called to the building, and at least one person was arrested for violating the city’s safe-schools ordinance, authorities said.

The fight was reported about 2 p.m., Patty Mazur, a spokesman for Toledo Public Schools, said.

The building was placed on level-one lockdown, which prevented anyone from entering. Classes continued during the lockdown, Ms. Mazur said. The school day at Libbey ends at3:20 p.m.

The cause of the fight and the number of people involved were unknown.
