Lashae Landry appears during her arraignment in Municipal Court on Tuesday.
( THE BLADE/ANDY MORRISON )

A 21-year-old East Toledo woman accused of fatally stabbing her roommate was arraigned Tuesday in Toledo Municipal Court on a murder charge.

Lashae Landry, who police said fatally stabbed Janea Wilson, 24, was ordered held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of a $500,000 bond. She was bound over to the Lucas County grand jury after waiving a preliminary hearing in writing and consenting to be bound over.

The stabbing occurred about 5:45 p.m. Thursday during a fight inside the apartment. Ms. Wilson was stabbed in the chest with a large kitchen knife, police said.

Ms. Wilson's death is the 21st homicide this year. There were 20 murders in Toledo during all of 2008.
