Bowling Green

•IOOF Centennial Lodge 626 is having a bake sale and garage sale from 8 a.m. to
5 p.m. Oct. 15-17 at the lodge at the Wood County Fair Grounds, West Poe Road, Bowling Green. Food, drinks, and raffle tickets for sale. A free cup of coffee or apple cider will be provided with a copy of this notice.

•Registration forms are now available for the annual Bowling Green Community Holiday Parade. Forms can be downloaded from the BG Chamber of Commerce website at bgchamber.net or picked up at the Chamber office, 163 North Main St. The deadline to register units is Oct. 23. The parade begins at 10 a.m. Nov. 21.

•Area youth ages 5-12 are invited to explore science, math, and creative thinking through the use of LEGO materials as Owens Community College offers fall LEGO Vehicles Engineering classes through Nov. 5. •3rd annual fund-raiser and euchre tournament to benefit the American Cancer Society takes place Oct. 17 at the Progressive Fisherman Association, 8050 Schadel Rd. Doors open at 6 p.m. The Euchre tournament starts at 7:30. There is a $15 entry fee. Prizes for first, second, and third-place winners for men and women. •34th annual Miss Northwestern Ohio Scholarship Pageant, a preliminary to the Miss Ohio and Miss America scholarship pageants, will be Nov. 14 in the Defiance Community Auditorium. The pageant committee is seeking female contestants between the ages of 17 and 24, who are single, never been married or pregnant, and live, work or go to school in Ohio. The areas of competition are talent, interview, swimsuit, and evening wear. There are no entry fees. The program is affiliated with the Children's Miracle Network, and each contestant will be asked to obtain sponsors to contribute a combined $100 to the Children's Miracle Network.
