Capitol Steps, 'Camelot' are heading for the Valentine Theatre

A pianist, a comedy troupe, and some royalty will make their way to the Valentine Theatre later this month. David Lanz, who helped forge the New Age music movement several decades ago, will perform his original piano compositions at 8 p.m. Oct. 23. Tickets are $23, $33, and $41.

He will be followed at 8 p.m. Oct. 24 with political satire from the Capitol Steps, former congressional staff members who target everyone from Republicans to vegans, Democrats to autocrats. Tickets are $33, $39, and $45.

The national tour of Camelot, the Lerner and Lowe musical about King Arthur and Guinevere, is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28. Tickets are $39, $47, and $59. Information: 419-242-2787.

The Bob and Tom Comedy All-Stars Tour visits the Stranahan Theater, 4645 Heatherdowns Blvd., at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24. Scheduled to perform are comedians Greg Hahn, Greg Warren, Nick Griffin, Dwayne Perkins, Donnie Baker, the Pork Pistols, and Chick McGee. Tickets are $32.50. Information: 419-381-8851.

The tour also will be stopping at 8 p.m. Oct. 23 in the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center, 7 Town Sq., Lima, as part of the venue's 25th anniversary weekend. Tickets are $35.50. Information: 491-224-1552.

The tribute band Zoso will bring "the ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience" to Tiffin at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24. Performing in the Ritz Theatre, 30 South Washington St., Matt Jernigan will play Robert Plant, John McDaniel is Jimmy Page, Adam Sandling portrays John Paul Jones, and Greg Thompson is John Bonham. Together, they have been called the "closest to the original of any tribute" by the Chicago Sun Times. Tickets range from $5 to $25. Information: 419-448-8544.

Performing artists Regan Patno and Julia Snyder call themselves the Tweaksters, and they're bringing their zany act to Owens Community College for a family show at 3 p.m. Oct. 25. They combine humor with physical feats such as making music with plumbing pipes and juggling light-emitting balls to classical music.

The show will be in the Mainstage Theatre of the Center for Fine and Performing Arts, 30335 Oregon Rd., Perrysburg. Tickets are $15. Information: 567-661-2787.

The Ark in Ann Arbor is presenting a Phil Ochs Song Night at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 25. A topical songwriter of the 1960s, Ochs was both admired and envied by singers such as Bob Dylan. Performing Ochs' music at the Ark, 316 South Main St., will be Bay City, Mich., folk-country songwriter Jen Cass; John Flynn; songwriter Greg Greenway, Kim and Reggie Harris of Philadelphia, Zach Stevenson, who played Ochs in a one-man show; roots-blues musician Pat Wictor, and social activist singer-songwriter Josh White, Jr. Tickets are $15.
