THIN SLICES: A DAILY TOUR OF POP CULTURE'S RAZOR EDGE
Adam Lambert camps it up and Kevin Jonas meets the perfect girl
Adam Lambert attends the premiere of the new Michael Jackson movie, 'This Is it.'

"...as human beings we are capable of making sense of situations based on the thinnest slice of experience."

Malcolm Gladwell, author of Blink and The Tipping Point.

ODDFELLAS: Juxtaposing Kevin Jonas and Adam Lambert is just too much to resist. One of them -- Lambert -- wants to be David Bowie without the substance and the other wants to be, I dunno, maybe Rick Springfield? Anyhoos, Lambert's revealed his album cover and it's very campy and kind of reminds us of Bowie's "Pin-Ups" cover from 1973. And Jonas took his fiancee home to mom and she approved, which is a bit more wholesome than a Bowie infatuation and a lot less interesting. (RL)

PARANORMALCY: The cheapo film Paranormal Activity was a big time winner at the box office this weekend, proving that with $15,000 and a creative imagination you can make lots and lots of money and scare the wits out of millions of people. The film relies on suspense rather than gore. What a novel concept. (RL)

THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT (NOT): We here at Thin Slices do not believe that the world is going to end anytime soon. Call us optimists, but while we acknowledge that humanity is a life form that could get zapped by something that's out there, we're doubters. And so is this guy, who explains the point quite well.
