2 northwest Ohio manufacturers to receive state grants

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Controlling Board Monday approved two state grants that total $75,000 and are expected to create 54 jobs and retain 70 others in northwest Ohio.

Roppe Corp., a manufacturer and distributor of rubber flooring products, will receive $25,000 to help acquire machinery and equipment to expand its operations in Fostoria. The $3.4 million project in Seneca County is expected to create 33 jobs.

Dow Chemical Corp. will receive $50,000 to acquire machinery and equipment for a plant expansion in Allen Township in Hancock County. The $8 million project is to create 21 jobs and retain 70.
