Sylvania
• St. Elias Orthodox Christian Church, 4940 Harroun Rd., will have a craft and ethnic food fair from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 5. Details: 419-882-4037.

• Toledo’s annual Holiday Parade, in its 22nd year and with the theme “Up, Up, Hurray,” will step off at 11 a.m. Nov. 28 downtown. Kris Kringle Village, a two-day attraction at the Erie Street Market Nov. 28 and 29, will feature youth activities, entertainment, holiday vendors, horse-drawn carriage rides, reindeer and more. Sponsors include: The Blade, Buckeye Cablesystem, and the Taylor Automotive Group. With the addition of Kris Kringle Village, additional sponsors and more than 300 volunteers are needed this year. • 34th annual Miss Northwestern Ohio Scholarship Pageant, a preliminary to the Miss Ohio and Miss America scholarship pageants, will be Nov. 14 in the Defiance Community Auditorium. The pageant committee is seeking female contestants between the ages of 17 and 24, who are single, never been married or pregnant, and live, work or go to school in Ohio. The areas of competition are talent, interview, swimsuit, and evening wear. There are no entry fees. The program is affiliated with the Children’s Miracle Network, and each contestant will be asked to obtain sponsors to contribute a combined $100 to the Children’s Miracle Network.
