Bowling Green police warn of thieves who pose as salesmen

BOWLING GREEN - Police are warning residents to be on guard for a pair of con artists posing as linoleum salesmen.

Police said they have received complaints of two men talking their way into homes or walking in uninvited. While one tries to sell linoleum to the homeowner, the other goes to other parts of the house and, in one case, stole a purse and broke into a safe.

The suspects are described as white males, one in his 20s and the other middle-aged. They were driving a smaller, white pickup with some type of black container in the back.
