Lighting up the Toledo Zoo

( THE BLADE/DAVE ZAPOTOSKY )

Gina Krolczyk hangs on a tree at the Toledo Zoo some of the more than 1 million bulbs that will go into this year’s Lights Before Christmas display. Because of the number of lights involved,
workers began hanging them in early September.

The display can be viewed nightly from Nov. 20 through Dec. 31, except for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
