Toledo’s Page in ESPN The Magazine

University of Toledo freshman Eric Page is featured in this week’s ESPN The Magazine in an article called “You’re In, Rookie! The Nation’s best freshmen had the biggest cleats to fi ll.”

The article says “Page is built like a wideout, runs like a tailback, and played option QB at nearby Springfi eld Local High.”

Page has made 65 catches and is the top freshman receiver in the Football Bowl Subdivision with 909 yards.

Overall, he ranks ninth in the nation and second in the MAC with 101.0 receiving yards per game, and 13th in the country and third in the league with 7.2 receptions per game. He has already broken Steve Odom’s UT freshman record of 62 receptions and 838 receiving yards (set in 2003) in the Miami game.

The photo of Page in the story was taken by UT reserve kicker Andrew Weber.
