Eastwood, Genoa win; Whitmer falls

Canton McKinley 34, Whitmer 13

Playing without senior quarterback Joe Missler and senior linebacker Shane Brown, Whitmer fell to the Bulldogs in the first round of Division 1 playoff action.

Eastwood 35, Galion 6

The Eagles amassed 448 yards of total offense to hand Galion (10-1) its first loss in the opening round of Division IV football playoffs. Eastwood (9-2) will face Ottawa-Glandorf Saturday in the next round.



Genoa 62, Edison 7
The Comets scored 42 points before halftime and rolled to a 62-7 win over the Chargers in a Division IV regional quarterfinal.
