Driver, 82, killed in accident in Putnam County

LEIPSIC, Ohio - An 82-year-old Leipsic woman died at a hospital after the car she was driving went off the road and struck headstones in the Sugar Ridge Cemetery south of this Putnam County community, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
Carolyn Christman was flown to Saint Rita's Medical Center in Lima, where she was pronounced dead at 2:38 p.m. Monday, according to a hospital spokesman.
Ms. Christman was westbound on State Rt. 613 in Van Buren Township about 1:15 p.m. when she drove off the north side of the road. The car struck three grave markers and overturned, coming to rest on its top, troopers at the patrol's Lima post said.
The crash remains under investigation.
Leipsic is about 40 miles southwest of Toledo.
