If fantasy football is your game, The Loose Piggy chitchat forum on toledoblade.com is the place to be to discuss drafts, stats, trades, and injury updates.
(2:00 P.M. ET) Hello fantasy football fans! Welcome to NFL week 7 and The Loose Piggy on toledoblade.com. We hope your teams are healthy and atop your standings.
(2:01 P.M. ET) NFL week 7 means sitting your players from Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Washington and Houston – so make sure Big Ben, Eric Johnson, Clinton Portis and whomever is on your team from the Texans are replaced with someone to earn you points this weekend.
Linda, Maumee, OH Is Rueben Droughns (RB, Denver) the real deal? Should I start him this week?
(2:07 P.M. ET) We think Rueben is a great start this week. Cincinnati is allowing 160 yards rushing per game. Tune in Monday night for the carnage!
Mike, Stryker, OH So who has the better weekend? T.O. or Jeff Garcia?
(2:15 P.M. ET) T.O. has had this game marked on his calendar and will have a big game. The Brown’s offensive line is banged up and Jeff Garcia is in for a long day. Remember – the Browns only played the Bengals last week.
Orange, CT Why do the Green Bay Packers keep Sherman as the coach. He is not doing an up to par job. He is tearing the team down.
(2:23 P.M. ET) The general manager has faith in Coach Sherman and it’s always good to have ‘close’ fans in high places.
Marv, Toledo, OH Will Jerry Rice have a big game in his Seattle debut?
(2:27 P.M. ET) Jerry Rice is going to finish his career in Seahawks gear…Seahawks gear! Hey—he’ll be on the same field this weekend with Emmit Smith. No, we don’t see him as a fantasy starter this weekend.
Lois, Toledo, OH im a woman who loves football as much or more than my man im right in front of the tv with him eating our dinner on tv tables with all kinds of snacks and beer on the side
(2:33 P.M. ET) And a lucky man he is… thanks for the feedback. We hope you’re enjoying some Pepsi along with your football too!
Carol, Sylvania, OH Do you think Dallas has a chance this year of making the playoffs?
(2:37 P.M. ET) Dallas is 2-3 and parity does not seem to exist in the NFC. It always seems those teams need 11 wins to make the playoffs. We do not see Dallas getting there.
Guy in Maumee, OH Who got the better of the Quincy Morgan/Antonio Bryant trade, the Cowboys or Browns? Will Bryant be an immediate help to the Browns' offense?
(2:42 P.M. ET) Quincy Morgan—because he is out of Cleveland. Lighten up Browns fans, this trade is a swap of problem children and both offenses are poised for mediocrity.
Nathan, Swanton, OH Who is the better Detroit RB play right now, Jones or Pinner? And don’t say neither because I have to choose.
(2:48 P.M. ET) Wow! Two Lions running backs! This week that’s a problem. You need to wait as close to game time as you can and see what online info becomes available. Our guess is that Jones will get most of the carries. Good luck! (Note: The Piggy that wrote this comment used a coin flip to make his decision).
(2:55 P.M. ET) We need to button things up a bit early today – thanks for stopping by with The Loose Piggy! Persistence pays off for Mike D. – as we drew his name for the weekly Pepsi T and 12-pack. Permanent Link
