Toll from China quake rises to 7,600
A massive earthquake struck central China on Monday, killing more than 7,600 people and trapping nearly 900 students under the rubble of their school, state media reported. The official Xinhua News Agency said 80 percent of the buildings had collapsed in Beichuan county in Sichuan province after the 7.8-magnitude quake, raising fears the overall death toll could increase sharply.

North Baltimore rail project may put Wood County village on track A few years ago, North Baltimore was pumped and primed to bring new businesses to town. The village had tripled its water capacity by building a new reservoir and water tower. The Ohio Department of Transportation replaced and expanded the long-neglected interchange at I-75 and State Rt. 18.
