Wolverines excited about landing large contingent
At the least the recruiting cycle ended positively. Unlike the recently completed football season, when University of Michigan failed five times to achieve bowl eligibility, the finish to national signing day was met with excitement - although it didn't begin that way.

Crawford, Shurna lead Northwestern past Michigan
Northwestern has no room for slip-ups. The Wildcats knew that Tuesday night when they started the second half of their Big Ten season with the ultimate goal of securing the school’s first-ever NCAA bid. Freshman Drew Crawford and sophomore John Shurna led a 21-4 second half run as Northwestern pulled away and routed Michigan 67-52.

Late jumper lifts Spartans over Wolverines

Michigan knocks off UConn
This entry goes right to the top of the resume. Should the University of Michigan find itself stuck on the fringe of the NCAA tournament weeks from now, Sunday's win over Connecticut should provide the Wolverines with some leverage over other teams on the bubble.
