Local jobless rates fall in March

Unemployment rates in March, disclosed Tuesday by the state Department of Job and Family Services, went up in some counties and down in others in Ohio.

Lucas County s rate fell to 11.8 percent from 12 percent in February, and the rates for Wood, Fulton, and Ottawa counties in metro Toledo also each fell in March.

Toledo s rate, at 12.6, was the third highest among the bigger cities in the state. Youngstown, at 14 percent, was highest.
