COLUMBUS (AP) — Ohio gasoline prices have drifted higher amid a rise in oil prices above $80 a barrel for the first time since August.

The latest survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express puts Ohio's average price for regular-grade gasoline at $2.65 a gallon, up 4 cents from last Monday.

Crude oil settled Friday at $81.58 per barrel on mixed global economic news from China and the United States. A weaker dollar also played a role.

Ohio motorists are paying 7 cents less for gasoline than the current national average for regular, which is $2.72 per gallon.

A year ago, Ohioans were filling up for less, paying an average $2.30 for regular.
