Toledo is one of the top 10 most affordable college towns in the nation, Coldwell Banker Real Estate said Thursday.

The New Jersey-based company ranked the affordability of 120 cities that are home to Football Bowl Subdivision, formerly Division I-A, schools. Toledo, home of the University of Toledo, was deemed the ninth most affordable college town. Bowling Green, home to Bowling Green State University, is 23rd on the list.

The rankings were based on average home sale prices for four-bedroom, two-bathroom houses listed on Coldwell Banker's Web site between April and September.

Muncie, Ind., home of Ball State University, was named the most affordable college town, while Palo Alto, Calif., where Stanford University is located, was ranked most expensive.
