FINDLAY -- Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. is recalling more than 10,000 tires made at its Texarkana, Ark., plant, saying the tread could separate from the tire.
In a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Cooper, which is based in Findlay, said "contaminated rubber" may have been used in the tread compound for the tires.
The recall includes Cooper Discoverer and Mastercraft Courser tires, as well as tires sold under the Delta, National, Pep Boys Definity brand, and TCB/Sigma Stampede brands.
