School group nears Chromebook goal
The Sylvania Academic Excellence Foundation is within reach of purchasing its first cart of Chromebooks for Sylvania Schools’ students. Foundation President David Berland said it is has raised nearly enough funds to purchase its first round of computers. Although he did not provide specifics on how much has been raised, he said the Chromebook cart, which supplies a charging station and 30 lightweight computers, costs $10,000.
