Whatever it was, Chrysler Group LLC reversed course on Tuesday and said it would recall voluntarily 2.7 million Jeeps that federal regulators said pose a fire hazard in rear-end collisions. The action covers Jeep Grand Cherokees from 1993 through 2004 and Jeep Libertys from 2002 through 2007.
