City officials wrangle to keep Jeep
The future of the Jeep Wrangler in Toledo may come down to the city’s bridge-building skills. A new Wrangler is due in 2017, and Fiat Chrysler officials say it will be considerably more expensive to build that vehicle in Toledo than it would at one of the automaker’s other U.S. plants. What they won’t say is how much more, though the difference seems likely to stretch into the hundreds of millions of dollars.
