Potential buyer: He’d break up The Andersons
The head of the New York-based holding company seeking to buy The Andersons Inc. gave strong indications Thursday that he plans to break up the diversified agribusiness should he acquire it. Speaking at B. Riley & Co.’s annual investor conference in Hollywood, Philip Falcone, CEO of HC2 Holdings Inc., called the Maumee agribusiness “a classic piece where the parts are worth more than the whole.”
