TARTA to start lunch loop at Arrowhead Park
6/17/2013The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority will begin providing lunchtime transportation to and from restaurants in Maumee’s Arrowhead Park beginning Tuesday.
The Arrowhead Park Lunch Loop, available weekdays from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m, will run through Sept. 20 and cost 25 cents each way.
TARTA’s Lunch Loop Service will provide access to 29 restaurants in the area plus the Meijer and The Andersons stores.
Riders within the park should call TARTA at 419-243-7433 to arrange for pickup and call a second time to arrange for a return to their workplace.
“With the largest number of workers in one compact location within TARTA’s eight-community service area, Arrowhead Park is a natural location to offer a lunch transportation service,” James K. Gee, TARTA’s general manager, said in a statement.
The service will use TARTA minibuses to deliver workers to and from the 29 restaurants.
