Baldemar Velasquez, founder of the Farm Labor Organizing Committee of Toledo, will be the featured guest on the next episode of Moyers & Company, which will be shown in the Toledo area at 6 p.m. Sunday on WGTE-TV, Channel 30.

The show's theme is Fighting for Farmworkers, and it will review the history of the FLOC and the union’s efforts to improve conditions for farmworkers. Mr. Velasquez will also discuss the FLOC’s ongoing efforts to get tobacco giant Reynolds American Inc. to address alleged farmworker abuses.

According to a preview, Mr. Moyers and Mr. Velasquez will discuss how the North American Free Trade Agreement has displaced millions of Mexican corn farmers, encouraging them to look for opportunities in the United States.
