COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio drivers are seeing some welcome relief at the pump as the week begins and gas prices in the state remain well below the national average.
A gallon of regular gas was averaging $3.42 in Ohio, according to Monday’s survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express. That’s 14 cents cheaper than a week ago and 33 cents less than the state average a year ago.
Nationally, the average Monday was $3.55 a gallon, down 6 cents from a week ago and 14 cents compared with a year ago.
Gas prices in the past month have been some of the cheapest in Ohio since the start of 2013.
