Columbia Gas’ Nov. rate set 2 cents lower than ’12

Columbia Gas of Ohio Inc. will charge customers 48 cents per hundred cubic feet of natural gas in November. The rate is based on the New York Mercantile Exchange’s closing price of 35 cents per hundred cubic feet plus 13 cents for a state-approved service fee.

A year ago, the gas utility’s rate for November was 50 cents per hundred cubic feet. Columbia Gas said that with the new rate, the average residential bill for November will be $58.69.
