Mich. farmers offered loans for hail damage

LANSING — Farmers in 20 Michigan counties that had damage from severe hail storms earlier this year are eligible for emergency loans from the Farm Service Agency.

The counties include Monroe, Lenawee, and Hillsdale.

The hail storms took place between June 10 and Aug. 2. Farmers in the affected counties will have about eight months to apply for emergency loans.
