The Douglas Co., a general contractor from Toledo, is beginning work on a second Veterans Affairs health-care center.
Douglas teamed with Carnegie Management & Development of Westlake, Ohio, to build the Toledo VA Outpatient Clinic that opened last year. Now the two companies are teaming up with North Carolina-based general contractor Samet Corp. to build a veterans health-care center in Fayetteville, N.C.
The 362,000-square-foot facility is slated for completion in 2015. It will house primary care and mental health suites, a pharmacy, outpatient surgery, and audiology and radiology services.
Construction began on the $82 million ambulatory care facility in late October and is now in full swing.
