VANLUE, Ohio — A Hancock County trucking company says it will lay off 20 workers because the firm has been sold.

Consolidated Transport Systems Ltd. and Tandem Eastern Inc. are selling the Vanlue business to Gypsum Express Ltd., which is based in Baldwinsville, N.Y.

In a letter to the Hancock County commissioners and the Ohio Department of Family and Job Services, Consolidated Transport Systems said 17 of the 20 layoffs would be truck drivers.

It also said that Gypsum Express intends to use the Vanlue facility and could make offers to the workers being laid off.
