2 local firms included in top 500 for design

Two northwest Ohio companies are on the 2014 Engineering News-Record’s list of the top 500 design firms. The rankings are based on revenue.

Toledo’s SSOE Group is No. 93 on the list. It was No. 66 last year.

It ranked as the 10th largest in the manufacturing sector and 61st on the listing of the Top 100 Pure Designers.

The Mannik & Smith Group Inc. in Maumee, moved up to No. 383 on the list from No. 413 last year.

Revenues were not released.
