Toledo Hospital, UTMC rated best in metro area

U.S. News & World Report is listing ProMedica Toledo Hospital and the University of Toledo Medical Center as the best hospitals in the Toledo metro area for 2014-15.

Toledo Hospital was ranked No. 12 in Ohio based on having 10 high-performing specialties: cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery, geriatrics, gynecology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, and pulmonology.

UTMC, the former Medical College of Ohio, ranked No. 26 in Ohio in the magazine’s annual report based on four high-performing specialties: gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery, nephrology, pulmonology, and urology.

The Cleveland Clinic was ranked as Ohio’‍s best hospital and came in at No. 14 on the magazine’s national scorecard.
