ACHIEVEMENTS

■ Jack Butorac, chief executive of the Toledo-based Marco’s Pizza franchises, has been named Operator of the Year by the publication Nation’s Restaurant News.

■ Owens-Illinois Inc. of Perrysburg has appointed Joseph Rupp as a new board member, filling a vacancy created when board member Joseph DeAngelo resigned in July.

■ Welltower Inc., a Toledo real estate investment trust, has named John Goodey as executive vice president and chief financial officer, succeeding Scott Estes who is leaving the company. Mr. Goodey has been senior vice president, international.

■ Fresh Products of Perrysburg has hired Chris Adams as executive vice president of sales.

■ The Glass City Toastmasters Club’s regular meeting is 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Way Building, 424 Jackson St., downtown. Free and open to the public.

■ The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce has a two-session Computer & Device Training workshop at 9 a.m. Wednesday and at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Four Corners Center, 130 S. Main St., Bowling Green. The first session is on Quickbooks 102 and the second is on Microsoft Office. The chamber is partnering with Huffine Software Consulting Services. Cost: $99 per session or $175 for both.
