Online job postings up in northwest Ohio

There was a slight increase in the number of job openings posted online in a recent month for northwest Ohio, according to the Conference Board.

The report, released Wednesday, found 13,455 job openings posted from mid-September through mid-October for Lucas, Wood, Fulton, and 14 other Ohio counties. That was up by 35 from the prior month but is down 2,000 job advertisements from the same period a year ago, the Conference Board said.

Occupations with the most openings advertised were truck drivers, registered nurses, and retail workers. Employers with the most ads were Mercy Health, ProMedica, and Lima Memorial Hospital.
