FREMONT - Two area teenagers remained in critical condition yesterday with injuries sustained when their car slid off an icy road into a tree.

Donald Selvey, 16, of Fremont, the driver of the car, and passenger Michael Potts, 15, of Clyde, were flown to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, after the Monday morning crash on Sandusky County Road 213.

According to the Fremont post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, young Selvey was eastbound when he lost control of the car, which slid off the left side of the road.

The accident remained under investigation, with no citations issued. Troopers said the teenagers were wearing their seat belts when the crash occurred.
