SANDUSKY - A driver for Sandusky Bay Area Goodwill, Inc., has been charged in connection with the burglaries of four area Goodwill stores.

Clyde E. Ayers, 39, whose last know address was a homeless shelter in Sandusky, is accused of break-ins at stores in Fremont, Huron, Port Clinton, and Sandusky. He is charged with breaking and entering and petty theft in those northwest Ohio communities.

In court Wednesday, his hearing was continued until Tuesday so that he can get an attorney.

The stores were broken into between Friday night and Monday. No force was used.

He remained in the Erie County jail yesterday in lieu of $7,500 bond.
