A 9-year-old-boy was hurt yesterday when he was hit by a car as he ran onto D Street at Paxton Street in North Toledo. The car fled, authorities said.
Kamani Sneed, of 1201 Paxton, who suffered a head injury, was treated at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.
The boy was running between two cars parked in the 2800 block of D, which is near his home, about 4:25 p.m. when a red Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by a woman who was northbound on D, hit him and knocked him down.
The car, which was a rental bearing a Michigan license plate, fled north on D, Toledo police Officer Mike Mugler said.
