Henry County tours receive Ohio praise

NAPOLEON - Historical-site tours in Henry County have paid off for several organizations that were involved in the driving routes.

The Ohio Historic Preservation Office has given its public education and awareness award to the Henry County Historical Society, the historical societies of Bartlow Township and Liberty Center, and to the Hamler Heritage Society.

On Driving Tour Day, motorists could follow maps to take self-guided tours to museums and sites of historic interest. The state office said that “the project was recognized as an outstanding cooperative effort to raise public awareness of the area's historic places.”
