HILLSDALE - Layoffs of up 100 workers at a Bose Corp. car radio plant will begin in February, said Dena Knop, a company spokesman in Framingham, Mass.

The move will eliminate more than half of the factory's 180 works. Work is being transferred to a Bose plant in Tijuana, Mexico, she said. Layoffs here are expected to be completed in eight to 10 months.

The plant will continue to fix and re-package returned merchandise for sale at company outlet stores, Ms. Knop added.
