HGTV's Shari Hiller and Matt Fox

Matt Fox and Shari Hiller of House & Garden TV invite you

to join them at the 20th Annual HBA House & Home Show to have some fun and learn a lot about making affordable and attractive changes to your home.

Ohio natives Matt and Shari earned their Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees at Kent State University, but their paths did not cross there. Matt was studying theater; Shari, interior design. Matt, a native of Findlay, moved to San Francisco to pursue his theater career and wound up teaching high school drama. During the summers, he painted houses and eventually became a full-time painting contractor. Shari stayed in Cleveland and practiced interior design in homes, country clubs and restaurants.

By the late 1980s, both Matt and Shari were working for Dutch Boy Paints. She was developing paint color systems, and he was selling them on the west coast. It wasn't until 1991 that they met up at a company conference, and found they had a lot in common. With their knowledge and entertaining personalities, they became sought-after speakers all over the country on the topics of paint, decorating, color trends, and painting techniques.

Just like an old "Andy Hardy" movie, they wanted to put on a show. They put their heads together to fine-tune a one-hour, live, locally broadcast decorating show. Sherwin Williams liked the concept and supported their hard work, creativity and perseverance. The show evolved into what is now known across the country as "Room by Room," seen on one of the fastest growing networks on television, HGTV.

"Room by Room" is on every home decorator's and do-it-yourselfers must-see list. Shari's step-by-step method of decorating, coupled with Matt's practical and economical methods of getting the job done, are just what you'll see at the 20th Annual HBA House & Home Show.
